The week 26 of the English Premier league has come and gone with some matches to go, but that does not stop it from showering us with a lot of intrigues.
The games that kicked of 4 PM Nigerian time saw an influx of goals. Chelsea extended their top spot lead in the league after they grabbed a win against Swansea City; in a four goals thriller. Early goals from Cesc Fabregas, in the 19th minute saw the home team lead before the visitors equalized through Llorente in the 45th minute before the end of the first half.
As the teams returned for the second half, Chelsea extended their lead through a goal from Pedro in the 72nd minute; courtesy of an assist from Cesc Fabregas who gifted himself joint second highest assist in his 300th appearance. Diego Costa sealed the fate of the Swans in the 84th minute.
In other games, Crystal Palace won Middlesbrough 1-0; Everton 2-0 Sunderland; Watford 1-1 Westham; Westbrom 2-1 AFC Bournemouth; Hull City 1-1 Burnley FC.
Similarly on Sunday, Tottenham trashed Stoke City 4-0 courtesy of a Harry Kane hat trick and a Dele Ali single.
Tonight, Liverpool FC will battle it down with Leicester City who recently sacked their coach, Claudio Ranieri. Meanwhile, Chelsea leads with 10 points pending when Manchester City and Arsenal FC will play Manchester United and Southampton
